Odion Ighalo> Coronavirus fears mean that Man Utd striker will miss training camp

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo will miss the club’s training ground in Spain for fear that the coronavirus outbreak may lead to being denied entry to the United Kingdom.

The Nigerian Ighalo, 30, flew to Manchester from China last weekend after signing a Shanghai Shenhua loan.

“He would have liked to have come with the players and meet them,” manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV.

“But we don’t want to take the risk [of tightening border restrictions].”

United will not return until Friday night before their Premier League match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday, February 17 (20:00 GMT start).
